A few weeks back, I got to spend some time hanging out with Jeanne & Craig. They were past clients, who were married in Maui, Hawaii. I had the amazing privilege to photograph their wedding at the Four Seasons Resort Wailea back in November. I had a great time at their wedding, and we really made a great connection in Maui. After the wedding, Jeanne informed me that Craig's mom was going to throw a reception in San Francisco, and she was excited to see if I could join them and photograph the event. It took all of 5 seconds to look at my schedule, clear a few things, and book tickets!
What we decided was that I could come into San Francisco a few days early, we could meet up, reconnect, shot some photos around the city, enjoy dinner, and catch up on how wonderful life has been since the wedding in Maui. Craig had suggested we should shoot over on the west end of the city, maybe starting off near the Palace of Fine Arts. We could then cruise by Fort Mason and shoot by the Golden Gate Bridge. This sounded like a great idea to me and our photo session began. After the shoot, we had dinner near the ocean, and talked about how much fun it was to see each other again.
I feel so honored that clients select me to photograph their weddings. That my clients, allow me to join them on one of the most significant days in their lives. The friendships I have made with my clients over the years is special, and I always feel so blessed to work with some of the most generous, kind, and wonderful people. It's clients like Jeanne & Criag, and the countless others, that have been so amazing to work with. It brings me joy, to wake up every day and give 100% of my energy, focus, and attention to making sure my clients have the best photography experience I can give.
Below is a small sample of images from the afternoon. The Reception images will be in Part 2.
